The name "Mayank" is of Indian origin. In sanskrit Mayank is a combination of two words: "Ma" meaning "earth" and "Ayank" meaning "moving," "travelling," or "path."

The Mayank kurta is made of comfortable and breathable fabric, such as cotton, to ensure comfort, especially in warm weather. The golden stripes are a prominent design element of the kurta. They run vertically down the length of the kurta, adding a touch of sophistication and class to the garment. The use of gold in the stripes can signify luxury and opulence, making this outfit suitable for special occasions or festive events.

Along with the kurta, the attire includes a cotton dhoti. It is adorned with a golden kasavu border which adds a touch of cultural and regional flair to the overall outfit.
